Haunt Review: REIGN OF TERROR

There are a lot of Haunts in the Los Angeles area. From large theme parks like Universal Halloween Horror Nights and Knotts Scary Farm to smaller haunts like Haunted Hayride and Alone, there is something for every taste. One of the absolute best I have ever been to is R.O.T. – Reign of Terror, located in Thousand Oaks.

This unlikely haunt sits above a Gold’s Gym and may seem like a small production when you first hear of it.Nothing could be further from the truth. There are 6 themes and over 80 rooms of horror that touch on every fear you can imagine is represented so there is literally something to scare everyone!

Another great thing about Reign of Terror is the atmosphere. I am big on atmosphere! To me it is the core of the Halloween season and it is brilliantly captured here, from old-time country settings, to fun houses and asylums, there is an organic feel that runs through and celebrates the season in the most natural way.

We talked with creator Bruce Stanton for a little more insight on my new favorite haunt…
